My practice as a student of yoga started in the late fall out 2014. Like most people who come to this practice, I was in search of healing of emotional as well as physical pain in my body. I felt isolated and alone. I wasn’t the typical body type for yoga, and I was also at a place in my life where I didn’t want to be seen or heard. My first two times trying to enter in a yoga studio failed, as I just got into the parking lot, and then drove away. But finally, one day on a Friday evening I made the brave decision to step into a yoga studio. Walking into that studio door is one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made, and continuously has been the hardest decision to keep a consistent practice, and observe my actions. But, it’s a decision that has been fruitful, meaningful, and has open my horizons in ways I never thought possible.

Two years later, I was in the middle of my sophomore year of college, and I wanted to share the same gift and practice that my yoga teachers have given me, with others. This decision in itself, was one that changed my life permanently, and continues to influence my choices today. From that point on I became a yoga teacher, I started traveling the state of Texas teaching yoga and various venues. I’ve taught Yoga in studios from all the way up north in Fort Worth Texas, to El Paso as well as Houston and every city in between. In this time, I also got my bachelor’s degree in science and education. I have had many great transitions during this time and learned from wonderful yoga teachers along the way.

My philosophy as a yoga teacher, as well as a classroom teacher has always been “come as you are” whether that means you feel emotionally bankrupt, or you’re on top of the world. Your experience is always welcomed in my class. I share the teachings of all my yoga teachers and mentors before me. I hope my teachings and experiences lead you to your own cosmic bread crumb trails, as they have led me.
